The New Southwark Plan: Final Version

It has finally arrived.

After years of work, various different versions, thousands of comments from the public, and (probably not enough) consultation events, the final version of the New Southwark Plan has been published!

It is currently out for its last consultation, and residents across the borough will undoubtedly be interested to see what it says about the vision for their area over the next 5, 10 up to 15 years.

Here is the chance for you to find out exactly what Southwark has got planned for where you live. You can find out by clicking on the links below:

Bankside and the Borough

Blackfriars Road

Crystal Palace and Gipsy Hill

East Dulwich

Elephant and Castle

Herne Hill and North Dulwich

London Bridge

Old Kent Road

At this late stage in NSP proceedings the consultation is very specific in what it asks; the focus is limited to issues of legality and soundness. Here is an extract from the Plan that provides an explanation of this: note that the deadline referred to has now been extended from 12 January to 27 February 2018.

Following discussions at the Southwark Planning Network meeting on 4th December, active residents are intending to hold a series of events in January and early February to help assist and support anyone who wishes to respond to the consultation, to do so in the most effective way.

We will add details of these to the Southwark CAN website as soon as they are available.

Many thanks to Grace Essex of Peckham Vision for separating these elements to make them easier for us all to access.
